Karen Stewart

Karen Stewart is assistant publisher for New Village Press. She coordinates office operations and accounting; participates in planning, marketing and development; assists with production, manuscript review, editing, indexing and proofreading. She holds a BA in Art & Anthropology, San Francisco State University 1973; MA in Art, with distinction, California State University Fresno 1982; Single Subject California Teaching Credential, English 1991.

Karen has the versatility to take on new tasks as they arise and flexibility needed for our very small staff. She has been with the Press since its beginning. She also has years of volunteer experience in arts education, community arts and arts activism. Karen serves on the Board of Directors of the ADPSR Northern California Chapter and volunteers with ADPSR's national Prison Alternatives Campaign.
