Conversations with Diego Rivera Book Launch
July 9, 2018 7:30-9pm CDT, 314 W 8th St, Dallas, Texas 75208

A tertulia event for Conversations with Diego Rivera: The Monster in His Labyrinth.

Come celebrate the book launch of Conversations with Diego Rivera by Alfredo Cardona Peña, the first English translation of historic interviews with Mexico's most provocative artist.

The event will feature dramatic readings by Teatro Dallas actors Omar Padilla and Armando Monsivais, who will be playing Alfredo and Diego.

Join discussion with the late author’s daughter and theater director Cora Cardona, granddaughter artist Sara Cardona, and award-winning writer Ben Fountain, plus honored guest, muralist Rina Lazo, Diego Rivera’s last living student.

Learn how Diego Rivera’s views of the world, art, and politics are relevant today.

Come early for Órale Diego cocktails and live authentic music!

The launch will take place Monday, July 9th, from 7:30–9:00pm at The Wild Detectives Bookstore, 314 W 8th Street, Dallas, TX 75208
