Carl Anthony, author of The Earth, the City, and the Hidden Narrative of Race, will be giving the Debra Friedman Memorial Lecture to discuss urban communities and their impacts. This lecture was created to honor Friedman, the respected chancellor of the University, who belonged to the urban studies faculty. Carl's background in architect, regional planning, and social justice connects him to Friedman's work and, through his book, is able to discuss how race and other social structures are connected to the communities we create and live in today.
