James Jiler Radio Interview on CJAD Montreal
James Jiler, director of the GreenHouse and Project at New York City’s Rikers Island Jail, is interviewed by Peter Anthony Holder, radio host of “Holder Tonight” on CJAD Montreal. Jiler talks about his work with male and female inmates as they learn valuable horticultural skills in the jail gardens. He also discusses the internship program called GreenTeam that continues training his students, after their release, through paid work planting and tending parks and gardens in New York City.

James,
What you are doing is incredible. I am an ex felon formerly incarcerated in Florida and am now living back in NJ. I am in the process of forming a non profit and am an alumnus of Art Spring (another incredible program using art to transform lives). I look forward to meeting you someday and possibly working together in our mission.
