Jack Sullivan

Jack Sullivan is a registered landscape architect and an associate professor in the Department of Plant Sciences and Landscape Architecture at the University of Maryland. He is also the coordinator of the Master of Landscape Architecture Program. His research and scholarly interests include the history of garden design in England and Italy, the development of an online searchable image database of significant landscapes (initially funded by a USDA Higher Education Challenge Grant), and the making of livable and sustainable urban environments. He is presently developing designs for several private gardens and has recently completed the garden for a homeless shelter for women with AIDS, a master plan for the Accokeek Foundation (a nonprofit foundation that manages the National Colonial Farm on the Potomac River), and a three-acre public park along the Paint Branch of the Anacostia River in College Park, Maryland.
