Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects

Signe Nielsen, FASLA, is the principal of Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects and has been practicing as a landscape architect for more than thirty-five years. Nielsen is a fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects and for thirty years has been a professor in both the graduate and undergraduate Schools of Architecture at the Pratt Institute. Her design work has received more than sixty major national and international awards and exhibits of her work have been shown in New York City, Washington DC, and Chicago. Since 2003, Nielsen has been a member of the New York City Public Design Commission and currently serves as its president.
