Brad Lander

New York City Council Member

Brad Lander was elected to the New York City Council in 2009, where he chairs the Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Siting & Maritime Uses, and is a founding cochair of the Progressive Caucus. Before his election, Lander led the Pratt Center for Community Development and the Fifth Avenue Committee. He holds a master's degree in city and regional planning from the Pratt Institute and a master’s degree in social anthropology from University College London.
