Michael Freedman-Schnapp is New York City Council Member Brad Lander's director of policy. He previously served as senior policy associate for the New York Industrial Retention Network and a planner for the Center for Court Innovation. He has written about the Bloomberg administration’s downzonings, New York’s food manufacturing sector, and the intersection between electoral politics and community development. He holds a master’s in urban planning from NYU's Wagner School for Public Service.
