Abeer Musleh

Abeer Musleh is a doctoral candidate in social policy at Brandeis University, focusing on youth engagement in Palestine. Musleh has worked extensively with young people, enhancing their participation in community life, using community education approaches and interactive methods including the expressive arts. She has explored story telling approaches as resources to build ties with and within communities, and to support young people to connect their own lives with the histories of their communities. She also worked with children of the Dheisha Refugee Camp on a theatre project that emphasized young people's empowerment and addresse the challenges of their daily lives. When she was a youngster, Musleh acted in several performances herself. She now lives in Ramallah, Palestine.
